Ceramic
There are so many things to consider with ceramic. We still put in the ceramic base the old fashion way. We screen the floor 1st and then we put the mud in. The advantage of the mud is it fills in uneven spaces that the wood floor naturally creates. Subsequently you end up with a base which has much less potential for cracking over time.
